Maybe it's Your Feet!
|
|
|
The feet are the foundation of the body. While 99% of all
feet are normal at birth, 8% develop troubles by the first
year of age, 41% at age 5, and 80% by age 20. By age 40,
nearly everyone has a foot condition of some sort.

Contrary to popular belief,
many people with foot
problems experience little
or no pain in their feet.
Instead, the site of pain is
transferred up to other
parts of the body: ankles,
knees, hips, lower back,
and even the neck and
shoulders. The foot is constructed with
three arches which, when
properly aligned, give
exceptional supportive
strength. If any one of these
three arches is compromised
the entire foot loses its
structural integrity.
A brief screening exam can help identify common foot
problems: look for lowered arches, pronation/supination,
uneven shoe wear, toe in/toe out, patella inwardly or
outwardly rotated, Achilles tendon bowing, and leg length
differences.

Custom-made, flexible orthotics align and support the
structures of the feet in a near normal physiological position,
to prevent dysfunction, and to improve the function of the
feet in motion.
